Keeping Scotland Connected

Forth Ports Rosyth is located in Fife on the north bank of the river Forth, with direct river access to quayside and deep-water berthing facilities. Located just 2 miles from the M90 motorway, Rosyth is the obvious port of choice for a wide range of customers looking to benefit from being connected to an unrivalled logistics network throughout Scotland.

Rosyth plays an important part in keeping Scotland’s cargoes moving; a centre for agricultural bulk products, project cargoes, renewables, oil and gas and manufacturing. The location has grown to be an important port of call for cruise liners, and it has benefitted from significant investment to become Scotland’s key turnaround hub, experiencing a yearly increase of cruise liners calling in the summer months.

The site is also ideally positioned to support North Sea decommissioning programs with quick vessel mobilisation times on short notice. Facilities within the port include large laydown areas adjacent to quaysides, heavy lift capability, deep-water berths, warehousing, and access to Forth Ports’ mobile fleet of cargo-handling equipment.

Scotland’s premier Agri-Hub

Forth Ports Rosyth took delivery of a brand new Liebherr Harbour Mobile LHM550 crane at the end of 2018, which is part of a major investment programme at the port for bulk handling primarily for the Agri-Hub. Located permanently on the North Wall quayside with a 200m working area, the crane delivers a major step-change in the cargo handling capability of the port, with the ability to handle 144Te at 11m.

Forth Ports Rosyth was proud to be the marine and prefabrication hub for the construction of the £1.4billion Queensferry Crossing, dedicating a large proportion of the port to the project and working in collaboration with the construction consortium to ensure all construction materials were handled safely and efficiently. Our involvement in this project is testament to our capability, flexibility, and willingness to work with our customers to deliver complex operations, on and off the water.

Forming part of the Rosyth Gateway, Forth Ports Rosyth works closely with its neighbouring industries and Fife Council to bring value to any project coming to the area. This makes it possible to fulfil even the most arduous demands in providing storage, manufacturing and berthing facilities.

Looking to the energy of the future, Forth Ports Rosyth has the perfect layout, both on and offshore, to provide logistics solutions within the renewables sector. The port already has a successful track record in this area, including the import of large steel pipes for the fabrication of jackets and turbine blades for onshore wind farms.

An increasingly busy port, with an appetite to forge new long-term relationships with customers, Rosyth offers the opportunity to add value to your supply chain through economical, responsible, flexible and sustainable solutions.
