- Port Operations: Handle various cargoes using specialized equipment, often on shifts

Marine Operations in Scotland
- Manage waters around the Firths of Forth and Tay
- Roles include Towage Crews, Pilot Boat Crews, Console Controllers, and Lock Gate employees
- We also have Cruise Teams and the Forth and Tay Navigation Service

Derek’s Career Journey
- 1999: Joined as a Graduate Trainee
- 2001: Completed Graduate placement and moved into Operations Management roles
- 2010: Promoted to Port Manager
- 2018: Advanced to Senior Port Manager
- 2020: Became Head of Operations – Scottish Ports
- 2022: Appointed Director of Operations – Scottish Ports
Current Role: Oversees all operational activities across 7 Scottish ports

Valda’s Career Journey
- October 2022: Joined Forth Ports as a Warehouse Administrator/Coordinator
- 2 Months Later: Promoted to Operations Supervisor
- Interest: Passionate about the Logistics & Supply Chain industry for its diversity and operational challenges
- Training: Received training in warehouse management systems through the Ports Logistics Academy to support her management team and career growth at the Port of Tilbury
