Forth Ports Limited is a dynamic UK-based multimodal Ports owner, operating over eight Ports in Scotland and Tilbury, Essex. We offer high levels of handling and logistic related services to customers looking for solutions to move goods cost effectively and efficiently.
These are exciting times for our expanding business and we are now looking to strengthen our Procurement Team with an opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Category Lead to join us at our Scottish Operation.
The main focus of this role is the development and implementation of long term procurement strategies along with managing and leading negotiations with suppliers and stakeholders whilst ensuring value for money and quality of service.
Your key responsibilities will include managing existing contracts and service level agreements, drafting new contracts, conducting detailed category research, implementation of cost saving plans whilst ensuring all procurement activity complies with the Company statutory obligations, policies and health and safety legislation.
You will be CIPS qualified and must have proven Category Lead experience. A self-starter who has excellent communication, decision making and influencing skills, you will be comfortable working to deadlines and have the confidence to deal with people at all levels within the business.
Since occasional travel between our Ports is required you must have a valid driving licence and have full and unrestricted right to work in the UK.
