Dundee - Paper and Forest Products

dundee-wood.jpg

The Port of Dundee has been a forest product specialist for over 35 years, handling newsprint, pulp and timber products. The port consistently maintains low damage rates for forest products when customers benchmark the port with other UK and European ports. These low rates can be attributed to the quality of the handling equipment combined with the skill pool which exists within the port operators.

The west end of the port now hosts a significant timber terminal. Operations within the area have been extended to include a full timber treatment and storage facility.

Forest products business has still considerable capacity to grow at the port and opportunities exist for companies wishing to develop a base in the region.
